about me
I take pictures since I was a little kid. First on my dad's old Voigtländer and as I got older on all types of 'instamatic'-cameras and 36mm-cameras.
I always loved to shoot just for the fun of it: on vacation, on a day out and whenever there was an opportunity to go to 'unknown' places I took my camera with me. Mostly I took pictures as a kind of souvenirs. But always attempting to do some 'really good' stuff. The digital camera-technology makes ist so easy today. I shoot on a NIKON D70s and on my iPhone 6s and I don't make real differences about these two toys. I simply use them as a kind of sketch-book. The final pictures emerge, when I do the 'developing' work on my MacBook. To me it is very much the same way as a painter would work. And I simply love it!
But it was only that I accidentally got my hands on a photo-book by Ralph Gibson (Deus Ex Machina) in September 2016 that I discovered a real urge to contribute seriously to the art of photography. That's what I do since then and you've just seen some examples.
So, thank you very much for stopping by and if you like to give me a comment on what you saw, feel free to contact me. I'd very much appreciate that!
